Physical Asteroids

New capabilities of NIKVision Tabletop, expanded the handling of toys on the table.
A lego prototype of a spaceship can be used to play a tabletop version of the classic Asteroids video game:



When players push the central bottom of the toy, visual software detects it, and fires the missille.

There is not limit in the number of players that can play with this, and can be implemented in any multitouch vision based tabletop.

NIKVision and Nabaztag




I use a nabaztag Rabit to give children all the information they need to play the cross the street game.
In the table is drawn the sides of the street and the zebra crossing.

NIKVision. October 2008

NIKVision is a tangible videoconsole that I'm developing in GIGA group at Zaragoza University.

It's designed for kids, and played with their tradicional toys.

Three games at this moment can be played:

Farmer game:




This game is designed to use in a transparent table. The farmer is autonomous and intented to help the child and transmit pedagogical content during the game.




Pick Butterflies
It's designed for two kids. Each one move his phidget, and the animal in TV moves equally. Their have to collect butterflies. Their have to run on the ground to to go near new butterflies.
So, they hace to compite - colaborate in the game.

It's the classic game, but you can configure the board before the game:
